Spend The Holidays In Your Favorite Christmas Movie

By Lauren McGee

One of the best ways to get into the holiday spirit is to cozy up on the couch to watch a Christmas movie. Here are some spots you can visit to feel like you're in your favorite holiday movies.

"Elf"

The main character of “Elf” travels from the North Pole to NYC. In one of the movie’s scenes, Buddy has his first kiss while ice skating in Rockefeller Center under the iconic Christmas tree.

"Home Alone 2: Lost in New York"

The landmarks that Kevin visits during the film include Radio City Music Hall, Chinatown, and The Plaza Hotel. Don't forget to enjoy a large cheese pizza!

"The Holiday"

Cameron Diaz's character in the film spends the holidays in the English countryside and you can too! Visit Surrey to have a similarly quaint Christmas vacation.

"Love Actually"

This movie follows different families around London in the weeks leading up to Christmas. To feel like you're in the film, visit Selfridges and the River Thames.

"A Christmas Story"

If you're in Cleveland, Ohio for the holidays, head to the real house from "A Christmas Story." Guests can stay overnight or just visit the museum full of movie props.

"How The Grinch Stole Christmas"

While you can’t actually visit Whoville, you can visit Universal Studios for Grinchmas to enjoy some festive fun and Who-liday cheer.
