I have owned this unit at Blue Tree Resort since 1993. Aside from being so accessible to all of the wonders in and around Orlando, the exchange program with Interval International has also allowed me to travel to so many fabulous locations across the US, and in Canada, Mexico and Europe.
The ability to exchange to top-rated resorts around the world, plus free exchange weeks frequently provided by Interval, more than pays for ownership costs. This 2-bdrm unit in such a high-demand all-year tourist location enabled exchanges to the best resorts every time requested, at any time of year. That is not the case for all timeshare units. I would have travelled to even more locations if not for a lack of free time, and now due to illness.
From my first visit in the 1990s, I felt so comfortable at Blue Tree Resort as it had a family-friendly and welcoming feel to it that can be missing at a sprawling resort full of tower blocks. Of course, with an Interval International membership, you have the opportunity to exchange to just those types of resorts when its appealing to you, so you can literally have the best of both worlds.
The location itself is ideal. With the vast array of tourist attractions, fantastic restaurant and bar options and of course Disney World so nearby, there is a seemingly endless selection of entertainment and something for everyone within minutes of BTR. And still you have the feeling of being taken care of within a smaller and safe resort when you return at the end of a day out.
The resort management has been impressive from day one. Back in the 1990s, the maintenance fees were under $300 per year. After 30 years, they are still under $900. When you read about other timeshare resorts, and how often they raise their fees by large amounts or add unexpected one-off charges, you will understand how impressive this resorts management has been throughout. They always keep on top of the resort maintenance and repairs, while continually setting aside funds and budgeting for improvements, and never demanding unfairly from the owners.
I am selling this unit for only $1, mainly because I did not pay much for it in 93, and also because that amount has been paid back multiple times in the years of super-discounted travel. I have so many wonderful memories from my travels and exchanges. I hope that someone else can now enjoy their years with Blue Tree Resort, as well as the exchanges to awesome resorts around the world. :)
