Our thought at the time was that it would give us flexibility in exploring areas of the country where we thought we might like to spend the winter months (Jan-Mar). It did help us with that, just a whole lot sooner than we thought it would take. Prior to our looking for winter retirement location we used two timeshares that we owned to get away in the winter for 2 - 3 weeks and unplug in warm locations. It provided a great respite from our time intensive careers and elder caregiving responsibilities required by our respective parents. We are selling this because it served its purpose, and we have no children to pass it to. While doing our estate planning, we decided that it would be best to sell both our timeshares (we sold one last year through Redweek), rather than leave it for our respective families to deal with.
