"Live in the sunshine, swim in the sea, drink the wild air", said Ralph Waldo Emerson. This is what I think of when I remember many happy years visiting St. Lucia and Windjammer Landing.
St. Lucia island is overcome with lush semi-topical and tropical foliage wherever your eyes roam. It is a pleasure to be immersed in the sights of the ocean, Labrelotte Bay, the rainforest and ever present, luxurious growth. Windjammer Landing is a place of peace, serenity and a soft-spoken staff who are there to cater to your needs. They are trained to see themselves as VIP's serving VIPs. You will surely feel this as soon as you step on the property or even before when you are greeted by staff at the airport.
It is a 60-acre resort with 7 restaurants and 6 swimming pools, a world class spa (my personal favorite). As stated on the website Windjammer Landing truly evokes " the timeless charm and elegance of a sun-drenched Mediterranean village, our island sanctuary invites you to immerse yourself in an unparalleled realm of luxury and sophistication." While this resort is indeed luxurious and sophisticated it is also family friendly with special programs available for teens and children. We admire the thoughtfulness of including programs for families.
We have had several opportunities to purchase a timeshare during our many travels. However, none spoke to us until we visited Windjammer Landing in St. Lucia. We knew we were going to purchase before we even attended the sales meeting. We made our sales agents job really easy that day. Our readiness to purchase showed how much we enjoyed the resort, the island and the people. I believe that was about 30 years ago.
