Per the owner: We've owned our timeshare since 1995, and several things made it attractive to us.
While it was in Gatlinburg, it was just off the main streets and next to conservation land that could not be developed. So, we had the experience of being in the surrounding nature without the noise and traffic of being right in town. At the same time, we were just 2 minutes from downtown Gatlinburg and just a few minutes from Pigeon Forge and any activities in the area.
Another attractive feature was booking several exchange vacations through RCI. Because our timeshare unit was in a popular vacation destination, and the fact that it was during the summer when children were out of school, it was very easy to exchange. We exchanged our week/unit several times over the years and traveled to many other vacation destinations and had great accommodations at all of them.
As Treetops owners we've also rented other available units throughout the year at greatly reduced rates from accommodations in downtown Gatlinburg.
